Since Christians desire to glorify God in every aspect of life, it is vital to evaluate the ordinary parts of life that we take for granted. A Brief Theology of Medicine aims to do this for medicine.  Should a Christian go to the doctor or take medicinal drugs?  Does the use of medicine glorify God or should believers who are sick simply come to God in prayer and avoid all pharmaceuticals?  These are the questions which prompted the writing of A Brief Theology of Medicine.  The answer to these questions requires more than proof-texting.  The book considers medicine from different biblical and theological angles.  Then a Christian worldview is used to evaluate both alternative medicine and western medicine.  The role of the church in caring for the sick and the relationship of the church to government health directives are explored.  The conclusion is that medicine is generally acceptable to God.  The book ends with selected implications.
