'A Set of Rogues' is a crime novel written in first-person perspective by Frank Barrett. As the story begins, we learn that the author and three others, Jack Dawson, Moll Dawson, Ned Herring, formed a traveling acting company. Jack was a cheerful man who played comedic parts and sang, Moll was a talented actress and dancer, Ned was a great villain on stage and a polite young gentleman off stage, and the author was a scholar and poet who played various characters including a hero and a lackey.
