The Empire of Ahl-Alnaar has a thrown down the gauntlet of war in a deadly three-fold plan to conquer the southernmost Kriegsturm province of Al-Andalus. The army has pulled out to deter the Angevins in the west leaving only Marshal Sturm and his militia of musket men to hold the territory. The Sturm Front must defeat drug-crazed-cannibals, nefarious traitors, and an army that boasts the best cavalry in the world.
This volume contains the books Sturm Barriers, Sturm Season, and Sturm Country.
Sturm Barriers: The Festival of the Midnight Bloom was supposed to ignite feelings of love and lust in the southerners of Al-Andalus. Instead, the Pretender Earl of Fortaleza and his allies have used it to turn their co-religionists into berserk cannibals seeking to feast on northern flesh. Now Marshal Sturm, the legitimate earl, must figure out how to save thousands of northern survivors from hordes of mindless people who do not feel pain and seem to keep fighting even after they're dead. All he has to combat them with is his bayonet, a few stout friends, and a handful of rickety barriers to bolster the defense. But not all of Sturm's enemies are on the far side of that barrier; and they would like to find a way to use the berserkers to remove Sturm from the High Kingdom of Kriegsturm once and for all.
Sturm Season: Marshal Sturm, Earl of Fortaleza, and his retainers have helped thousands of Northerners survive three hellish nights as their crazed southern neighbors mindlessly threw themselves against the barricades in a desperate attempt to kill and eat them. Now his problems are really beginning. The insanity has ended but the danger is just revving up. Ten thousand people are dead or injured, thousands more children are orphaned, there is no food in the city, and Joachim Adler, pretender to Sturm's earldom, is determined to finish the task that his berserkers failed to accomplish—kill Sturm and drive every northerner out of the city. And as if that isn't bad enough, Sturm now has proof that the Empire of Ahl-Alnaar is supporting Adler's treacherous efforts. No one thinks he has a chance of surviving, but the man who triumphed despite the odds at Steil Pass and Hekt is not ready to quit. Instead, he is determined to bring the Sturm Season down on his enemies and end Adler's threat forever.
Sturm Country: Marshal Sturm defeated Joachim Adler, pretender to his earldom, but not before an army from the empire of Ahl-Alnaar invaded to support the fraud. With Adler dead, the southerners have decided to use their large army to simply conquer Al Andalus, and with Anjou still threatening in the west, Kriegsturm is in no position to oppose them. That leaves only Sturm to defend the province with only untrained militias, a treacherous understrength battalion of regular army soldiers, three hundred medieval knights who still want to charge with lances into battle, and his musket men. But what Ahl-Alnaar doesn't realize yet is that the new earl of Fortaleza is not cut from the same cloth as his self-indulgent predecessors. They have entered Sturm Country and he will do whatever it takes to drive them out again.
