Andre Fu: A Designer’s Vision offers an intimate look into the creative world of one of hospitality design’s most influential figures. Known for shaping some of the most celebrated luxury hotels of the past decade, Fu approaches design not simply as architecture, but as the creation of immersive destinations. The volume presents design as both a creative process and a way of living.

Rather than presenting a traditional portfolio, the book explores Fu’s work through projects organized into three thematic sections: Escape, Cultural Dialogue, and Heritage. Each section opens with a conversation with a creative figure who has inspired Fu, including designer Thomas Heatherwick, filmmaker Audrey Diwan, restaurateur Joyce Ma, and chef Daniel Calvert of the acclaimed restaurant Sézanne. These exchanges offer a deeper perspective on the cultural influences that shape Fu’s vision.

Written by Singaporean design writer Daven Wu, a longtime collaborator of Fu, the volume pairs thoughtful commentary with project photography and previously unpublished material that reveals the designer’s creative process. Capturing Fu at a moment when his work continues to reach new global prominence, this book invites readers to experience the philosophy behind destinations where the hotel itself becomes the reason to travel.
