Jackson "Jax" Caruso's parents fought for the Independents. They lost.
This fast-paced sci-fi adventure picks up fifteen years later. Jax is just trying to get by without attracting imperial attention. After all, food and, more importantly, beer ain't free.
He's got a fast ship, two droids, and not much else. So when he's approached about a job that seems perfect, he pulls in some friends, ok, more like acquaintances, and sets off.
Seems like a simple job, doing something good for folks that can't do for themselves. And getting paid for it!
