Black Girl Pursuing the Horizon

It is a story of a black girl's visual and personal horizons from a village child vintage to the global arena citizenship written as a sequel to Bernard Shaw's skit "The Adventures of the Black Girl in Search for God." Her education, work and travels expose her to different ideas and experiences of the world. Colonial education and Shakespeare's English language engage her attention as does the experiences of blacks in diaspora. She gravitates towards story tellers as designers of interesting aspects of cultural traditions. She discloses her discontents with the modernization of Africa under development policies; and the undemocratic tendencies as both the causes and results of weak political states.
