The first game he played on his immersive system was Zu Shuz! A 90s era platformer hardly anyone played until its recent mobile re-release. In the game, you steal characters shoes to take on their abilities but he accidentally brought the power-up that makes the player character huge.
Nick accidentally brought a power-up to the real world one day.
"What's that one do?" I asked him.
"It makes you grow almost twice as tall as normal. You need it to complete some of the puzzles in the game."
I knew what he meant. You didn't just get taller. You got big. I pulled him away by the sleeve of his sweater.
