Christina Walters was convicted in the August 17, 1988, murders of 18-year-old Tracy Lambert and 21-year-old Susan Moore. She was also tried for the attempted murder of Debra Cheeseborough.
Walters was the leader of a local Crips gang and confessed to shooting several .32-caliber bullets into Cheeseborough, leaving her for dead. The killings were a gang-initiation rite and the young women were chosen at random.
