Conversations of a Sombre Heart is an intimate exploration of love poetry, cultural awareness and everything else in between from the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho. It uses everyday Basotho experiences, social norms, gender diversity, beliefs, practices as its back drop. This collection has been 'spun and woven' in order to celebrate the very true and purest essence of written art which for many generations has been only sung and passed down to future generations orally. It is a representation of the contemporary Lesotho and struggles faced by many to find their true identity in the fast paced world of today. At its core it displays the rich history of African notion of 'Ubuntu'.
