Blurb Darker Than Blue: This Mortal Coil - A Dystopian Tale

In 2030, within the fictional nation of Atlantis Island, we encounter Boy Blue, a 45-year-old grappling with a tumultuous life. Dark-skinned and imposing, his history is marked by personal loss and youthful indiscretions.

Atlantis Island is a land where people come in various colours, but Boy Blue's journey is especially turbulent. He resides in a psychiatric asylum, plagued by seasonal depression and nocturnal hallucinations.

Upon his release, he faces a ten-year sentence for a crime that never occurred. Unaware of its true nature, he enrols in Dr Google's vaccine program to escape this fate.

As Boy Blue places his trust in Dr. Google, his future becomes uncertain, swinging like a pendulum. Will he evade a decade behind bars?

Amidst his struggles, presidential elections loom, threatening democracy. Incumbent DeeDee seeks autocratic power, supported by trolls and non-pink citizens. The contest pits two pink candidates against each other, with democracy hanging in the balance.

Darker Than Blue: This Mortal Coil is a dystopian narrative that explores societal divisions, trust, and the quest for justice. Lawrence G. Taylor invites readers to ponder the future of democracy in a world where shadowy powers lurk.

Review:
"I enjoyed reading Darker than Blue, and I was taken aback by how clever and well-written it was! I can't wait until it's published, I'll definitely be buying it, and I'd be more than happy to help you advertise and promote it once it's all done!"

–– Chelsea Terry, the copywriter who did an excellent job editing the story and to whom I offer my sincere gratitude.

... Darker Than Blue by Lawrence G. Taylor is well-written and transports the reader through an imaginary world that gives us food for thought. The story highlights how most of us have been victims of discrimination, which impacts our lives and stays with us forever. Through many exciting characters, Darker Than Blue explores various forms of discrimination and how some benefit at the expense of others. The scenes and characters are vividly described and easy to understand, keeping the reader's attention from start to finish. We dream of a future free of discrimination; however, we are the only ones who can make that dream a reality. As highlighted in Darker Than Blue, we must work together if we want positive change in our beliefs and values.
