Derek feels a strange connection between himself and Awentia, and is reluctant to leave her behind to continue his quest for vengeance. Suddenly, Derek is thrown into the middle of a shifter war between the Deer People of the Catahecassa Tribe, and the werewolf clan. Will he discover the truth behind the deer woman's identity before it's too late?
