A parakeet helps his owner, who feels like a failed poet after another unexpected lake breakup leaving him in a rut. On top of this, none of his publications in verse have been successful. The parakeet escapes his cage one day after memorizing the drunken poems and his owner catches his performance on the street.
His best friend, named Dusty the brave parakeet shows what means to never be afraid, letting your emotions of the past speak. Both have lost so much the past two years and this poetry exposes painful true tears. Dusty also comes up with some poems on his own and thinks quick on his feet!
