This book only covers a few key heroes and heroines from the rich history of the First Black Republic of the Carribean and the voice odf a present day hero, Guy Philippe. It comprise of a brief story of Haiti's enslaved patriarchs and matriarchs' resilience, revolution, and triump from the oppression of colonialism and becoming the First Free Black Republic in the world. It has been 220 years since this inspiration of freedom and equality gaining Haiti their independence under the leadership of Dessalines.
Presently, the Population of Haiti's crisis and sufferings has been brewing all over social media platforms. One man, by the name of Guy Philippe, stands firm on the subject of "Change is needed for all Haitian people" as if the "Echoes of Freedom" from the forefathers whispered to him. He boldly declare, "Only Haitians can take care of themselves, give them respect and let them make their own choices."
