Fattening the Actor is the story of Chad McDowell, an A-list actor famous for his perfect body. He's not happy with the roles he's been getting, so he signs on for an indie drama that requires him to gain weight. With the help of his personal trainer (and childhood friend), he grows a belly and loves it. What follows is a little bit of romance and a whole lot of fat.
In the follow-up story Lusting After Chad, a young gay guy becomes obsessed with Chad's growing image. He's a superfan, and every time Chad gets bigger, his own taste in men changes. When he starts up a relationship of his own, he can't help but encourage his boyfriend to grow.
And finally, The Moment I Knew catches up to Chad in the present, when he and his husband return to the exact spot where he decided to give up his perfect body.
