What's so funny about…

Fire Alarms that people ignore? Fire Alarms that don't work? Fire Alarm Systems that are falsely documented? Fire Alarms that kill people (when not used as directed)? Nothing!

Written with humor, somber reflection, and sometimes a dark combination of both, "Fire Alarms Kill People" is a Fire Alarm Technician's memoir written as a twisted version of Aesop's Fables set not in an ancient world of metaphorical rational animals, but set in the modern world of metaphorical and not always rational humans. All have their agendas, goals, and concerns. All have their flaws. Some have their misdeeds.

Though fire safety, detection, suppression, and alarms are all serious subjects, the author takes the liberty of interweaving serious subject matter with humorous accounts involving dancing construction workers, misbehaving children, unreasonable customers, jobsite pranks, and even being hit in the head with a women's high heeled shoe.

By accident or design, or intervention Divine, so hinges the success of humans in their endeavors to provide safety. Fix One, Cause Two.

(Written in layman's terms; Approximately 70,000 words).
