Two Feathers, however, holds a dangerous difference of opinion. He warns Finnegan that pursuing the fierce maiden will only bring ruin to their people, commanding him to walk away.

But Finnegan has no desire to heed his grandfather's rigid words. He doesn't care about the boundaries of society, the warnings of the elders, or the deep scars of the past. He knows that together, he and Annaca are a raging inferno—and he is ready to burn down both of their worlds just to make her his.
