Forget-Me-Not upon the Stone - THE HEARTH OF SEVEN WITCHES, #1

In an ancient coastal town shaped by maritime gales and centuries of silence, seven sisters rise from the cold marsh clay where they were buried under false judgments. Their ancestral home has been hollowed out, its hand-hewn oak frame encased in modern drywall, and their names commercialized for tourists seeking staged frights.

Rather than demanding vengeance, they clean the soot from an abandoned blacksmith forge near the tidal ditch. With scarred hands and stubborn resolve, they stoke a soapstone oven with seasoned cedar, parching bruised flower petals and baking dense sourdough bread infused with wild elderberries and clover honey. When freezing winter traffic paralyses the coastal roads, the fragrant smoke rolling from their stone flue draws shivering travelers, exhausted delivery drivers, and desperate mothers whose sick children find warmth at their hearth.

As a greedy land syndicate moves to seize the marsh with eviction warrants and heavy tow cables, an unyielding local carpenter steps forward, bearing the bloodline of their youngest sister and the lost records of an irrevocable covenant. Grounded in the raw physical grit of historical labor and enduring family devotion, this narrative explores the painful path of dignity, collective memory, and the honest bread that restores honor to stolen earth.
