FRACTURED TALES is a collection of short stories put together with prompts from college assignments. The genres range from young adult to fantasy and mystery.
The collection begins with, "The Date," where Lizzy plans to meet a group of friends at the movies. The group turns into a two-person date that leaves Lizzy questioning the people in her circle.
In "The Manila Envelope," we follow the husband as he struggles with his reluctance to inform his wife of some devastating news.
In "The Phone Call," young Ruby is a child, excited to spend the day with her father. Step by step she makes herself presentable, while her baby sister follows her around joyously. Then, she gets a phone call.
In the final story, "The Golden Cattail," we are introduced to Odette. Befriending a river fairy, she collects golden treasures. After her trinkets are discovered by her greedy father, Odette must answer to the king.
