Two men, Abel in London and Oliver in Edinburgh, both completely unknown to each other and without any prior medical history, suffer identical heart attacks at the exact same time and fall into comas.
Ben, Abel's close friend and the main shareholder in an electronic data protection company, visits him and, using his skills, penetrates the hospital's electronic systems. He quickly discovers that someone is interfering with the pharmaceutical dosages of patients.
