High Arctic: Perseverance Point

A thousand kilometres above the Arctic Circle and headed for an abandoned weather post, wealthy widower and ex-cop Blair Hunt is not only going to deliver a high-tech meteorological station but is also searching for some peace of mind and solitude. At this extreme latitude, in one of the most inhospitable environments in the world, what could possibly complicate and disrupt an already complex flight further?

By utter chance, he stumbles upon something which will threaten his very existence and could lead to global consequences. He finds himself facing off alone against a rogue skipper with intentions to provoke an international incident or outright war. Alone, outnumbered and forced down on one of the world's largest uninhabited islands, he must use his wits and limited resources to outmaneuver a hostile enemy crew.

At first, he is assisted remotely by someone he has never met thousands of kilometres away in a Canadian government operations centre. Then, unexpectedly a team led by his good friend and including a small crack military unit is inserted to assist.

Together, they must come up with plans to thwart their adversary, salvage a stranded ship and avert a potential environmental nuclear disaster.
