A few years ago, I visited Ellis Island and learned about the history of immigration in the United Staed during the colonial era in the 19th century and from the 1880s to 1920.
I believe that every land on this planet has been a place for people coming and going from everywhere since the beginning of times. There will be no end to immigration...ever. We are explorers!
There has been so many beautiful immigration stories. All with laughter and tears but also with a common factor: people came without knowing what to expect and make it in their own, unique way.
In this book I share mine. And I hope to inspire others to also share theirs.
Because as I see it, we are all people with a desire to go somewhere out there, away from where we were born and no matter the outcome, we are fighters and winners. Our stories will inspire and serve as a lesson to those who will come after.
