I Obey Her I Submit to Him: A Year Long Diary of A Long Distance Couple

Long distance romantic relationships are becoming more popular thanks to social media. Isaac Ato Mensah, a prolific writer/journalist, uses his vulnerabilities in such a relationship to raise important cultural matters for public discourse. He enters into a real life romantic relationship with Florence, a lady he respects and loves dearly. And together they offer the reader their experiential and observational learning. Initially, the lady bid him to move on and find someone "more suitable", preferably, a colleague writer with whom he could share the same writing passions hopefully. Eventually, however, Ato turns Florence, his lover into a co-author of two books including this one for which she is also the editor. By the end of the first year - christened Anno Florencia 2023 - she had helped Ato publish at least six books. Isaac Ato Mensah is an independent scholar, journalist, author and publisher based in Accra, Ghana. Florence Afful is a Registered Nurse working in the UK.
