The "WLW Romance Shorts" is a series of shorts featuring cozy, contemporary love stories of women falling for one another against the backdrop of San Francisco. These sweet, quick reads are perfect for a lunchtime escape or one last indulgence before bed. 

 

The first in the series is "Jessie's Lie". When Jessie McMahon gets the incredible opportunity to write a series of articles that take a first person view of what it's like to  particpate in the Alcatraz swim from island to shore she jumps at the chance. The two-mile open water challenge seems like the perfect way to make her mark as a sports writer. But  there's one snag. When she got the gig, she forgot to tell her boss she couldn't swim.

 

Kylie Night is hired by the magazine Jessie writes for to mentor a swimmer preparing for the Alcatraz swim. As a swimming instructor and local swim champion, Kylie is happy to help. But the job changes when she discovers that her prodigy can't swim at all. But starting from the beginning with the beautiful, talented Jessie isn't such a chore for Kylie.

 

Jessie's Lie will lead to the opportunity to overcome her greatest fears and insecurities and find, not only her own courage, but also a once-in-a-lifetime love.
