Mark leaned back, crossing his arms. "I'll make it simple. Go for Lisa. She knows you already, and I'd bet my left nut no guy's getting in her pants unless she's begging for it. You won't even get past a handshake."
Javier's brow furrowed for a split second, a rare flicker of doubt. "Fine by me, but I don't want this screwing up our friendship over a fling. You sure you're okay with me bedding her?"
Mark laughed, loud and sharp, then dropped his voice to a conspiratorial whisper. "Not a worry in the world, man. But I hope you do—I'd kill to know someone's nailing her behind my back."
Javier, Mark, and Lisa were a familiar trio in their party circle. Javier had always kept his distance from her out of respect for Mark, but now his mind raced. Lisa was a knockout—curves that begged to be touched, lips that promised trouble. It'd be a challenge, sure, but he was ready. He just hoped Mark meant what he said about wanting her to stray. Plenty of guys in their crew would line up for a shot at her. First, though, he had to shift her view of him—from friend to lover—and he started plotting with care.
Mark agreed to give him free rein, as long as Javier kept him posted. To smooth the path, Mark even faked a last-minute illness for their planned movie night as a threesome, insisting Javier and Lisa go without him. Lisa hesitated but relented, just as Mark predicted. It was the opening Javier needed.
