"LIT" cinematic novel, based on the LIT short story and screenplay, masterfully revisits Mason J. Abrams, a 30-something upward and mobile Christian architect, who mistakenly gives the keys to her heart, house, and "natural curves" to a gaslighting, abusive parole officer, Kevon I. Lofton.
Kevon is guarded about lower-decibel conversations in the basement while keeping division between Mason and "Baby Mama," Egypt, on Facebook. Mason battles inner spiritual conflict that becomes more difficult to appease with Church Tithes or Victoria's Secret gifts from marriage carrot dangling Kevon.
A drained Mason has to war against Kevon's smear campaigns psychologically; it is a distribution list that includes, the Church pastor, cousins, friends, colleagues, and even a cashier associate at the Foot Locker. It is not until police officers are dispatched to a complaining neighbor's domestic violence 911 call that Mason is confronted with the unavoidable reality check of the unmasked Kevon I. Lofton and her wobbling "faith walk" to the steady arms of Jesus Christ (256.PP).
