Doc Ericson has just started a llama farm, north of Peabody, Wisconsin, and he asks Penny, Jack, and Scruggs to help out. As soon as they arrive at thge farm, however, strange things begin to happen. Who let the llamas run loose? Is somebody trying to make trouble for Doc Ericson and his llamas? And what about that telescope they discovered? Could it be watching them? When a pack of dogs is let loose on the farm, everybody realizes that there is an enemy who is not joking about trying to drive out Doc and his herd of llamas.
When Jean arrives on the scene, Penny and Jack aren't at all sure they want their shy little sister hanging around. But Scruggs has some surprising things to say about that, and the four of them work together as a team to solve the mystery.
