Love is the Drug

November 2020, Sheffield, England, eight months after Covid started to take a grip in the UK. Bill Kennedy has no sex life, no work and no immediate prospect of anything improving during the latest government-imposed lockdown. Sexual frustration has been eating at him throughout the year. His attractive wife is fixated on her work to the expense of everything else, managing a team of brilliant young scientists tasked with finding a vaccine for the coronavirus that has put life on hold.

Bill's plans to talk to Ronni, his wife of twenty-four years, to escape the rut of a sexless marriage that he finds himself in are usurped by a shocking and surprising proposal. Ronni wants him to join a ground-breaking medical trial that would see him fix his sexual drought in spectacular fashion. The only problem is that the copulating wouldn't be with his wife, but her mother – a woman that Bill despises.
 

Follow Bill's journey as he grapples with his conflicting feelings, his eagerness to please his wife and do his bit for medical research, and the prospect of having sex with his previously antagonistic mother-in-law…
