This short story collection follows the writer's journey from dreaming of becoming an author to compiling his best short works and readying them for the readers. True events inspire some of the stories in this collection. Others are the imaginative creations of a village boy. Others emerged from late-night idling on the balcony, with the writer's wife talking and the writer listening. Each story brings something new to the reader. Take, for instance, Gravestones, where three robots stand by their master's deathbed and wonder what the future holds for them. Or Mr. Writer, in which the narrator is flanked by his dreams, each wanting a piece of him, forcing him to choose at some point. Overall, there's a lot of fresh stuff here, all wonderfully told.
