Our pets bring joy to our lives. They are valued family members. We love and desire the best for them. Sadly, our pets can acquire diseases similar to those that afflict the human race. Chronic kidney disease claims many of our feline friends. Often the disease has advanced to the later stages before it is diagnosed. Further decline is heart breaking to observe.
My Boney Girl is about a stray abandoned kitty who showed up at my front door. My wife and I did the right thing by accepting her into our family. The strong emotional attachment I developed for her was quite unexpected. Kidney disease took her away many years too soon.
Please allow me to tell you our story expressed in poetry, narration, photographs and illustrations. I need to share these words with all cat lovers.
