Oborin Swamp

Oborin swamp is a remarkable place in the south of eastern Slovakia in the village Oborin. This village belongs to the district of Michalovce. During summer evenings, but especially at night, it is possible to see a ghost who pretends to be the missing Vanessa. She was a girl from the village of Oborin, very popular, she often helped in guarding children not only to families, but also in the local kindergarten. During the hot summer of 2019, Vanessa disappeared from her house at night and headed for the wooden walkway that led across the swamp. She has never returned home and no one knows why she disappeared, where she went, what actually happened. There was also an extensive police search, which lasted all summer. But it did not bring any results. Her family's desperate search continued, occasionally some promising clues or indications aroused hope, but in the end they turned out to be false. So far, Vanessa has not been found alive or dead. However, after a while, the sad story of Vanessa's disappearance took on a mysterious dimension. According to the inhabitants of the village, a ghost named Vanessa appears somewhere in the swamp, settled in it and does not intend to leave it. And those who came in contact with the ghost of Vanes at night are no longer with us.
