Our Little Promise

Our Little Promise authored by Priya Pasumarthy and is illustrated by Maria Stoyanova. This beginners story targets little children of ages 2-8 years old.The plot of the story is such that ittle readers would feel connected with the  vibrant illustartions with  magical details on each page right from the beginning. The story follows Billy and Lilly, are very enternaining characters. They are two best friends who love to play together while their mothers spend time together. Billy and Liy enjoyed seeing each other and Lilly dress up in her various costumes, trying to trick Billy. Billy and Lilly had a great dynamic that worked for them;their mothers were sweet characters as well.

It's April Fools Day  and Lilly dresses up in various costumes pretending to be anything from a cat to an elephant to a shark. She knocks on the door behind which Billy stands but he refuses to let her into the room, going along with Lilly's shenanigans as she pretends to be these animals.Eventually,Billy lets her in, and they talk about how much fun Lilly's little tricks are. The pair promise to be friends forever, loving their relationship with the other. Our Little Promise is a picture book with a plot that children are sure to be drawn to.This children's book is very heartwarming.The story's simple repetitive language would make reader's engage easily.The story leaves a subtle message in a playful manner.

It is great to have friends and friendship.It is on us how well we can keep up our friendship. At a meta level this story sows seeds of diversity and acceptance and a promise to keep it.
