Pattern Recognition in SMEs’ Liquidity Management Decisions: A Cross-Sectoral Empirical Inquiry into the Albanian Market

This study examines the critical role of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Albania's economic development, highlighting their substantial contribution to GDP—particularly in services, trade, production, and construction—and their influence on labor market maturation and social cohesion. The research statistically investigates SMEs across sectors, focusing on liquidity management as a key factor in financial stability and profitability. Through qualitative and quantitative analyses at a 95% confidence level, it identifies internal and external factors influencing liquidity strategies and their relationship with profitability. The findings suggest that effective integration of liquidity and working capital management enhances business efficiency, profitability, and long-term sustainability, underscoring the importance of financial and managerial practices as determinants of SME success.
