Life is a fabric woven with threads of hardship and ease, complexity and simplicity, duration and brevity. Yet, at its core, perhaps it is just life.

Life commences with the innocent gaze of a newborn, as they awaken to the vastness of the world around them. From the moment of birth, they are thrust into a society that categorizes based on myriad factors—wealth, race, and more.

Even before taking their first breath, a newborn is subjected to countless labels and distinctions. While a father may provide and a mother may nurture, is this enough for a child to navigate the unforgiving terrain of existence, to challenge the preconceived notions and differences that society has imposed upon them? Why can't that child simply be human—unencumbered by the weight of societal expectations that cloaks their soul and shapes their destiny?
As time unfolds, the child embarks on a journey laden with expectations—to be an obedient offspring, a protective sibling, a devoted spouse, and eventually, a flawless parent. Yet, in the midst of this journey, they often lose sight of their true essence—the essence of that innocent being born into the world. Instead, they morph into what society demands, only to falter when they fail to meet those expectations.

For these expectations become their identity, and somewhere along the way, they lose themselves.

This book is a call for those who have lost themselves in between cacophony of societal demand. It echoes the plaintive cry of the newborn, lost a midst the tumult of life's expectations—a plea for rediscovery, for reclaiming the essence of who they truly are.
