His Sovereign Highness Prince Cedric Maximilian Kastelic is on a quiet holiday in a chalet in The Poconos. No one outside his cabinet of ministers knows where he is. It is meant to be a private time when he can grieve his beloved mother's death and reconnect with her family. During a blizzard, Max finds himself hosting Leontyne "Tina" Cooper, whose vehicle ran off the road a mile from his chalet. She is ill and he insists that she stay until she is well again. It soon becomes clear that she has no idea who he is. He finds her intriguing and more beautiful than anyone he has ever known, and he is drawn to her. He invites her to his coronation, without telling her who he is.
Max knows that she feels something for him too, and despite their age difference, he wants nothing more than to keep seeing her. Tina arrives for the celebrations and is flabbergasted when she discovers that her knight in shining armor is none other than the Sovereign Prince himself. Embarrassed and angry with him for deceiving her, Tina forces Max to fight for her forgiveness. Max must convince Tina that he is not like the other men she has known, that they belong together, and that she is what is best for him and for Lauenstein.
