After joining a tough volunteer fire department to impress his wife, a meek man is hazed by the intimidating all-black crew and made to confront his own masculinity.
Anthony Robinson decides to become a volunteer firefighter, thinking it will impress his wife and prove his manliness, but it quickly turns into a living nightmare.
Anthony's first day on the job descends into a dark and ominous world. The fire station, located in a dangerous, low-income area, greets him with hulking black men who look at him with scorn and hostility. The station feels more like a haunted house than a place of refuge.
As Anthony tries to fit in, he quickly realizes that the station is a hotbed of terror. The men are brutal and sadistic, taking pleasure in tormenting him. They call him "white boy" and "fresh meat" and subject him to hazing rituals and ridicule. Anthony finds himself trapped in a living nightmare, constantly under threat from the other firefighters.
The captain of the station, Odell, is the most terrifying of them all. He demands that Anthony call him "Master" and makes it clear that he will brook no disobedience. Anthony must obey his every command, no matter how bizarre or dangerous. The other firefighters follow Odell's lead, and Anthony soon realizes that he is in the clutches of some very twisted men.
As the days turn into weeks, Anthony's sanity begins to unravel. He is haunted by nightmares of the other firefighters, who seem to be stalking him even in his sleep. The fire station has become his prison, and he is trapped in a never-ending cycle of terror and torment.
