Twins Markus and Ashley (Pippa) move to the downtown area of their city, Jamestown. There they meet a fellow friend named Tawny. The circumstances that brought the twins to the downtown core also has their mother in a rehab center. The three children quickly learn their new surroundings from the food bank, the Helping Hands thrift store to the soup kitchen. Auntie Marie who runs the soup kitchen calls the kids there her Soup Kitchen Kids.When mom Jackie returns to the children, she quickly gets used to her new surroundings and community. Everyone learns although they are not rich money-wise, they are rich in kindness, caring and family.
