The pair do battle with evil space pirates, and then take a precious pirate jewel to a massive star on the other side of the universe, where they have it destroyed. Bobby and Sandra go to Pluto, where they free the slaves, and make friends with one of them, a young girl named Vermilion. The intelligent and precocious Vermilion narrates the story, and tells how she, along with Bobby and Sandra, begin to turn the former slave prison into a thriving city. This is the first of several stories about these amazing people, and the reader can look forward to more fantastic adventures.
