It is designed to distract you from the tragedy, but it can be negative. Instead of addressing and solving a problem, we try to close our minds to it and hope it will solve itself. #2 I do not believe in a god, but I do believe that whatever intelligence created me, you, and every other creature on the planet is a force for good rather than evil. I believe this because I find it impossible to refute. #3 The fact that more species are becoming extinct on a daily basis is not something that causes us any worry. We are the ones who are causing the problem, and yet we are the ones who are most worried about it. #4 Money often increases the problems of the rich. They will argue that they would rather be miserable with money than without it. This is also true. When I ask people to list their present, past and future worries, money is at the root of the majority of them.
