They were not married, and she was pregnant but not with his child. They were not supposed to be together, but they were. The innkeeper took them in and gave them a room. #2 In the throne room of heaven, there is a chorus of voices reading from an ancient text. They declare that Jesus will be born of a woman, come from the line of Abraham, and rule the heathen. #3 The angels sing out, Glory to God in the highest!
