I had taken a trip with my father to the surfers’ playground of Costa Rica in 1987, when I was fifteen. #4 I was able to make contact with Yuri Kuntsevich, the head of the Dyatlov Foundation in Yekaterinburg, Russia. He explained that the foundation’s mission was both to preserve the memories of the hikers and to uncover the truth of the 1959 tragedy.
