I’ve never been through anything tougher, but I’m extremely grateful for my family. #2 I had to call my cousin Wynter’s husband, Pitts, and tell him that his wife was not breathing. It was a thirty-minute drive from where we had been celebrating to the part of town where Wynter and Pitts were staying. #3 I was called to the hospital when my niece Wynter was rushed there. She had been unable to breathe, and when I arrived, Jonathan told me that she had died. I prayed, God, turn this around right now. #4 I was in shock when I arrived at the hospital and saw Wynter lying so still. I didn’t know what had happened, but I knew it was serious. I prayed and asked God to help Wynter, that whatever emergency had caused her to be rushed to the ER would be alleviated as quickly and painlessly as possible.
