But many Christ followers struggle with the opposite: hating what God loves – themselves. #2 I have learned that you can’t chop out the second half of the verse and expect to do well at the first. In order to love your neighbor well, you must first learn to love yourself as God does, tenderly, completely, and unfailingly. #3 You are the one who is hardest on yourself, and your self-talk is typically negative. You may find it difficult to love yourself, and you may struggle with patience, gentleness, and kindness toward yourself.
