I was shocked, however, at the market in Cuenca, which was dominated by Indigenous people dressed in ponchos and woolen skirts. #4 The bus ride to the jungle was elitist, but I felt grateful for the front seat. I was extremely humbled by the generosity of the people we met on the bus, and the fact that we were privileged to be there at all.
