The German government attempted to set up a Jewish reservation in the Lublin district in the east of the General Government for all Jews under its jurisdiction. #4 The Madagascar Plan was a proposal to deport all Jews within the German sphere of influence to the island, then under French colonial rule. The plan was linked to the idea that the Jews would act as a sort of bargaining chip to guarantee the Germans the future good behaviour of members of their race in America.
