Mark, 18, is a natural-born leader: strong, clever, and unshakably courageous. His sister Liz, 17, is smart, determined, and full of wonder, with moments of dreamy hesitation that never stop her from stepping up when it counts. Together, they call Miami home—but the world is about to become their playground. 

Thanks to their brilliant neighbor Henry, Mark and Liz are now the proud users of powerful solar-powered flying belts—sleek, compact devices worn at the waist that convert sunlight into unlimited flight energy. With adjustable altitude, velocity, and balance via self-generating air pockets, the belts even include moisture collectors for survival in the harshest conditions. They also command a solar-powered boat, ready to sail—or soar—toward any horizon. 

Their first mission takes a wild turn: while testing their boat on open water, a violent squall batters their craft and sends them adrift. Exhausted, they fall asleep, only to wake up on a mysterious desert island teeming with mischievous monkeys and unexpected challenges. 

Now stranded and without help in sight, Mark and Liz must survive using their minds, courage, and the incredible technology around their waists. But this is only the beginning of their amazing global journey.
