During Lily's backyard party, the cake suddenly disappears. Lily, Max, Rosie, and Ben discover a trail of crumbs and frosting smears leading across the yard. They follow it to a playful squirrel named Sammy, and later Mr. Whiskers (another squirrel wearing a scarf), who give clues. The trail leads them to the garden shed, where the cake is found hidden safely on a shelf. Sammy and Mr. Whiskers reveal it was all a fun game to see if the children could solve the mystery. The friends return the cake to the party, share it with everyone—including the squirrels—and celebrate a day made special by teamwork and adventure.
