He's on Earth to undertake a high-concept exploration of the ultimate triumph over entropy: Human Joy. He intended to eat ice cream on a porch. He did not intend to develop a metaphysical attachment to a furious human female who threatens him with a tranquilizer dart every time he materializes a salad fork.

A stellar core anomaly and a wildlife rehabilitator should not have a trajectory that intersects. But as Orion tries to navigate human commerce (horrible), garden hoses (hostile), and blackberry picking (an emotional disaster), Wren's carefully ordered world begins to unravel.
