Can Kay find the missing clue and outwit the mysterious stranger? Kay, her mother, and their aunt (Jessy) visit an inherited, run-down farmhouse. Kay discovers a baby under a briar bush, which involves a missing baby investigation. Kay faces off against a rival/unpleasant classmate, Ethel Eaton, and a pair of criminals (a fortune teller and her husband). The criminals are outwitted, the baby's father (a hired hand) is identified, and the mystery is solved. The Kay Tracy series is every bit as good as the Nancy Drew series!
