The Diviner Called Worshiper
All of us are born for only one purpose, and that is to worship God. Whether you go to heaven now, what the angels and twelve elders understand is, to worship God in spirit and in truth. The big question is, do you know your purpose here on earth, and if you know it, do you understand how it is done to please God and not the masses that exalts you? The purpose and function of a praise and worship ministry is to confront the enemy and expand the territory for God's move to connect well with his flock. As the praises go up, his glory comes down, 2 Chronicles 5v13-14. God's purpose for praise and worship is to bulldoze, or cut to size and annihilate the enemy. To serve in this ministry, you have to solely stand on Christ, and not on your own, Proverbs 3v5-6. As a praise and worship team member, let it be your language that, 'I put no trust in my bow, my sword does not bring me victory; but you give us victory over our enemies, you put our adversaries to shame. In God we make our boast all day long, and we will praise your name forever,' Psalm 44v6-8. Thus, you have to completely put flesh under subjection. It is not about your talent or seemingly nice voice people talk about, but the attitude and spirit; the ability to be a good team player that is worthy and in tune with other team members; someone who should be heard by the masses, but not seen; be one voice, one instrument, and one team with one mission. It is of paramount importance that who serves in the praise and worship team, therefore should view their role as a calling from God, not just mere coincidence of being a helper somehow in the church. Thus don't be stiff necked, instead deprogram yourself and let God reprogram you, to be sensitized to his every move. Paul said in Galatians 2v20, "It is no longer I who lives, but Christ in me…" Therefore, die to the flesh, and let Christ live in you as you soldier on.
