The year is 2008. The Thousand-Year Reich is sixty years old, and it is starving.

In the brutalist concrete canyons of Chicago-Burg, the "American Dream" is a forbidden memory. The once-great United States is now the Greater American Territory, a resource colony stripped bare to fuel an endless war in the Urals. The skyline is dominated by the leaning Speer-Bollwerk, a monument to a "Master Race" that can no longer afford bread.

Thomas Miller is a "Maintenance Ghost"—a man who sees the cracks in the Reich's eternal architecture. While the state propaganda machines scream of invincibility, Thomas knows the truth: the concrete is expanding, the steel is rusting, and the Sovereign Default is about to turn the streetlights off forever.

When Thomas trades his grandfather's smuggled 1942 Longines watch for a forbidden Japanese Data-Brick, he inadvertently wakes a ghost. A ninety-second broadcast of FDR's "Fear Itself" speech shatters the "Great Silence," sparking a digital wildfire known as the Data-Drift.

Now, hunted by Standartenführer Elias Vane and a fleet of thermal-drones, Thomas must rely on his indoctrinated daughter, Sarah, and a cynical "Mischling" smuggler named Fast Eddie to deliver the final blow. Hidden in the Bronzeville Tunnels are the Master Override Codes—a legacy of structural sabotage left by a dying architect fifty years ago.

As the 2008 Bread Riots tear the city apart, the Resistance prepares the Ghost Protocol. They don't need bombs to topple the Wall. They just need the world to hear the truth.
